At SZ Sewing Company, we are committed to providing quality products and ensuring your satisfaction. Before purchasing your product, please take a moment to read our return and delivery policy.
Returns and Refunds
Should you, for any reason, become dissatisfied with a product purchased online, you may return it to any SZ Sewing Company through the following means.
1. In store within 30 days of receipt of the goods for a full refund, replacement or exchange; provided that you have the original tax invoice and the goods have been returned in a saleable condition, which includes returning with all original packaging, accessories and product documentation.
Should you be unable to provide an invoice, we will be happy to exchange your purchase at the current system price.
2. By courier, within 30 days of receipt of the goods for a full refund, replacement or exchange; provided that you have the original tax invoice and the goods have been returned in a saleable condition, which includes returning with all original packaging, accessories and product documentation.
On receipt of the return, SZ Sewing Company, will assess the saleable condition of the machine and thereafter refund within 5 working days of acceptance of the return.
Other than in the instance of a return due to a factory fault, the cost of returning the goods by courier will be for your account.
Factory Faults
You may return, for either a replacement or a refund, products that are considered to have a factory fault as a result of a manufacturing defect, within 60 days from the date of receipt of the products.
Please ensure that you familiarise yourself with our various products purposes as noted on our product description and specifications tabs, as goods purchased and then used for a different purpose will result in the voiding of any product manufacturing warranties.
Return Process
To initiate a return, please follow these steps:
1. Contact our customer support team via caitlin@szsewing.co.za or 011 825 3407 to notify us of the issue and request a return authorisation.
2. Pack the sewing machine securely in its original packaging, along with all accessories and documentation.
3. Return or ship the product to the return address provided by our customer support team.
International Credit Card Payments and Refund Method
Use of International Credit Cards
Customers may make online payments on this website using international credit cards. By completing such a transaction, the customer confirms that they are the authorised cardholder or have the necessary authority to use the card.
Refund Method Limitation
Due to banking, exchange control, and payment processor limitations associated with international credit card transactions, any refund that may be due or approved will not be processed back to the international credit card used for payment.
Alternative Refund Methods
Where a customer is entitled to a refund in terms of these Terms and Conditions or the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008 (“CPA”), such refund will be made only via an alternative method, which may include:
- Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) to a nominated bank account,
- Store credit or voucher, or
- Another reasonable method determined by the Company.
Refunds will be processed in South African Rand (ZAR), unless otherwise agreed.
No Limitation of Statutory Rights
Nothing in this clause is intended to, nor shall it be interpreted to:
- Exclude, limit, or waive any rights afforded to consumers under the CPA;
- Limit the customer’s rights in respect of defective goods, non-performance, or cancellation where such rights apply in terms of the CPA.
This clause regulates only the method of refund, not the customer’s entitlement to a refund where such entitlement exists under applicable law.
Disclosure and Acceptance
This refund method limitation is disclosed to customers prior to checkout and forms part of the Company’s Terms and Conditions. By proceeding with an online purchase using an international credit card, the customer acknowledges and accepts this limitation.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, including the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008.
Shipping Policy
We offer convenient shipping options to ensure that your purchase reaches you in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Free Shipping (Within South Africa): Orders for "Accessories" with a total value exceeding ZAR700.00 (Seven hundred rands) are eligible for free shipping within South Africa. This offer is automatically applied at checkout, and no additional shipping fee will be charged.
Standard Shipping Fee (Within South Africa): Orders for "Accessories" with a total value of up to ZAR699.00 (Six hundred and ninety-nine rands) incur a flat shipping fee of ZAR100 (One hundred rands). For orders of “Domestic Machines” a flat shipping fee of ZAR150 (One hundred and fifty rands) will be charged. For orders of “Industrial Machines” a flat shipping fee of ZAR500 (Five hundred rands) will be charged. These fees will be added to your order during the checkout process.
International Orders: We currently ship within South Africa only. If you are located outside of South Africa and wish to make a purchase, you are responsible for arranging your own courier service to collect the product from our location. Please contact our customer support team for further assistance.

Cancellation
If for any reason you would like to cancel an order, this may be done by visiting www.szsewing.co.za on our website or by contacting our Customer Services Centre at caitlin@szsewing.co.za or 011 825 3407.
Orders may only be cancelled 24 hours after placing the order. We may debit your payment card for delivery fees incurred as a result of late cancellation.
